One year ago, GSI welcomed Bill Smith to the team to create our new Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. With experience both as the regulator asking for safety programs to be implemented and the company representative implementing those regulations, Smith has been able to provide unmatched insight and expertise for GSI clients.

With our EHS site service offerings, GSI is able handle everything from the environmental to the health and safety side. Current services include items ranging from SPCC and stormwater plan writing and permit application (air, water) preparation for various facilities to outsourced full EHS department services. GSI can help new facilities set up their processes and safety regulations, or adjust those plans when other items are changed or modified.

For one client in the last year, GSI’s EHS staff was brought in to be their entire EHS department, helping them to manage their day to day safety requirements. As part of that, GSI rewrote their emergency response plan, which became the model for the corporation at all their facilities nationwide.
